Estate Planning

Estate planning is an area of intense creativity and innovation. Our comprehensive estate planning practice begins with a complete analysis of each client’s current financial position and future objectives. This enables us to best advise our clients as to their various options, including any tax consequences.

We can then prepare whatever a client needs, including:

  Wills;

  Living Trusts;

  Irrevocable Trusts;

  Living Wills;

  Durable Powers of Attorney for both financial matters and/or health care;

  Community property agreements.

We can also advise and assist our clients with their succession planning for businesses and any other forms of asset protection that they might require.

Trust & Probate Administration

We have extensive experience in supervising the administration of the trusts and estates of decedents, as well as guardianships (for minors) and conservatorships (for the incapacitated). Administration matters are always conducted through the California court system. We routinely make appearances at all of the courts throughout the greater Los  Angeles area, including Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties. We are fully prepared to attend any court proceeding involving the interpretation or administration of, or distribution from, any trust or estate.

We also assist fiduciaries such as trustees and estate administrators in preparing and submitting the necessary inventories and accountings to the courts and beneficiaries. We can also assist clients in transferring assets without formal court administration.

Contested Matters

We have thirty years of experience in dealing with a broad range of contested probate matters. We provide our clients with advice and representation in:

  Will contests;

  Trust contests;

  Suits by or against fiduciaries;

  Creditors’ claims by or against an estate;

  Litigation involving beneficiaries’ rights.

We can also handle any litigation matters which may arise in conservatorship and guardianship situations.
